What customers say?

“ We visited this restaurant off of a recommendation from a friend. It’s in a shopping center at a busy spot, so it is located at a convenient place. The service is very good! Our waiter was kind and approached us with respect. As for the food, they have some of the better tasting Chinese foods in the desert. We ordered meals both for ourselves and to share so that we could try more dishes, and were extremely surprised at how great some of them were. The orange chicken and the lo mein noodles are a blast!!! Absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend this place!! ”

“ Pleasantly Surprised—Definitely Worth a Visit and added to my favorites on the area! I noticed some low reviews / hate on Yelp and almost skipped this place, but digging a little deeper I realized many of the 1-star reviews came from users with no photos, few friends, and only a handful of reviews—which often says more about the reviewer than the restaurant. So I gave it a try, and I’m glad I did. Da Chef has a quaint, mom-and-pop vibe that worked nice for me. The space was clean, the booth was comfortable, and my server was kind and attentive. The menu is a unique blend of Chinese/Cantonese and dim sum with a few Korean and Thai-influenced dishes sprinkled in. The menu and the walls are full of photos, which definitely tempted me to over-order—with to-go boxes in mind, of course. The braised beef noodle soup was decent, with a good amount of beef and a nice flavor with some cabbage, but a bit heavier on noodles than I expected and the broth leaned bland but it still worked, but I’d probably explore a different soup next time. The spicy cold noodles were a total win—super flavorful with green onions, cilantro, and fresh peanuts in a mild red pepper and peanut oil base. Would absolutely order again. The mushu pork was another standout—rich flavor with a hint of fresh ginger in a few bites. Loved it. For the quality and quantity, the prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely return. If you’re in the area, it’s worth adding to your list. ”

“ Well, I thought I left a review the night I went. Here goes. This place was pretty dang good. Wasn't too busy when I went, which I didn't mind, lol. Sat right away, but I looked at the picture menu on the wall, first. Ordered some hot tea than for food I ordered ,fried calamari, and eggplant. Oh, and sesame seed balls. It was all so tasty. The portions were spot on. The calamari portion was bigger than I thought it would be,yum. The sesame balls were delicious. The eggplant was really tasty. Real happy with the food. ”

“ We ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp, Beef and Broccoli, and the Wok Pork Fried Rice, and oh so good! Definitely on our top places for dinner!! As you can see not much left, sooo good! ”

“ For the price l, i would go here everyday. This is our new go to restaurant for quick affordabke meal. We have tried to go and dine in. The place itself gets packed and it is relatively small so I think its better to do to go unless you really dont want to clean up. There is onky one person at the front who was the greeter, server and cashier and cleaner for all the tables. She looked overwork but does not show any complain. I am not sure if this is a family restaurant. We found this restaurant while searching for the nearest peking duck and let me tell you how glad I am not to drive so far for that. We also ordered the cantonese duck and I think I prefer this one than the peking duck. Love the flavors. With dine in we ordered the large beef noodles and roasted duck noodles and it is a pretty large serving for just $11. Will definitely come back here to try the others. ”

“ One of the best Chinese food spots in the desert. We make the drive to PD for PS at least once a month to dine here and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the Cold Spicy Beef Platter. ”

“ I was a bit reluctant because they weren't that busy, but the food was really good. I had the chicken fried rice and pad Thai. Both were large portions and plenty for two people. Service was excellent and our food came out really fast. I would definitely go back again. ”
